Over the past several days, many people have reached out regarding the closure of a company I previously worked for and how it relates to VOLK Audio. I want to address this clearly.

VOLK Audio is an independent company that I founded, built, and solely own. It operates with its own team, its own structure, and its own direction. No former Empire Ears associates are employed by VOLK, and no part of that organization has transitioned into this one.

Since I was relieved of my duties as Vice President in April of 2025, I’ve had no involvement or communication with Empire Ears, its personnel, including family members, or anyone connected to the company. I have never held ownership in Empire Ears, and it has no ownership or affiliation with VOLK Audio. Any matters relating to Empire Ears remain entirely separate from VOLK.

When I founded VOLK, I was pursuing a vision I had carried for many years. One where products are defined by obsessive engineering and purposeful design, built free of constraint in service of the music, the craft, and the people who trust us with their listening experience.

That is and will always remain our focus.
